Final Presentation to an Audience

The oral presentation is a public exhibit of what students have learned from the Graduation Project process.  At Frederick High School, students present their projects to a panel of judges from the community, central office, and school staff. STudents are expected to prepare and rehearse an 8-10 minute speech that includes:

  • the reason for choosing the project

  • the types of research they conducted

  • the results of the research

  • details of the project and creation of the project

  • self-discovery statements such as "I learned that..." and I never knew that..."

  • a conclusion

Students are expected to share their portfolio with the panel judges as well as utilize audio-visual aids during their presentation. Students will be expected to answer questions related to their project from the panel judges.
