The Transition Education Programs are designed to provide opportunities for all juniors and seniors to experience a hands-on placement within their preferred career pathway. Community organizations, businesses, and other educational institutions augment the formal classroom and provide students with the opportunity to expand the curriculum through an exploratory experience which applies the students' individual talents and intellectual abilities. Mentors provide adult role models for the students to emulate as well as help the students gain insight into developing a career in their chosen field. Students receive grade and credit for all programs with the exception of Open Campus. While Open Campus students do not receive high school credit, they do receive college credit for the courses they pass. A combination of several transition experiences may be selected. | |
