FREDERICK HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER PRACTICE TIMES

The following teams will begin the tryout process on Saturday, August 15th.  Student-Athletes should report at the following times and locations (with paperwork already completed):

Cheerleading: Summer Conditioning and camp info will be placed updated on the Web Site.  Turn in paperwork from 6:30am-7:30am on 8/10;  Tryouts -10am-2pm on 8/15 & 17;  Practice – 10am-1pm (varsity only) & 5pm-8pm (JV only) on 8/18-8/21;  Parent Meeting on 8/17 7pm;  Practice 2:30-6:00 (varsity only) & 5pm-8pm (JV only) from 8/25 until 1st contest at the auditorium steps (see cheerleading website: http://www.eteamz.com/cadetcheerleading     e-mail questions:  jean.davis@allstarfusion.com
Football (Grades 9-12) – practices begin at 8am-8pm on 8/15; see football website: http://www.leaguelineup.com/frederickfootball
Girls’ Soccer: 7-9am at the stadium & 5-7pm at the upper field on 8/15; 6-7:30am at the covered bridge & 5-7pm at the upper field on 8/17-8/21; 7-9am at the stadium on 8/22 (bring spikes & flats to all practices).
Boys’ Cross Country: 7-9:30am on 8/15;  7-9am on 8/17; 6-7:15am & 2:45-4:45 on 8/18 and 8/19;  TBA on 8/20; 6-7:15am & 2:45-4:45 on 8/21 at the flagpole; 8-9:30 @ Ballenger Creek Park (Shelter #2) on 8/22
Girls’ Cross Country: There are no tryouts for Girls’ Cross Country. Practices begin at 9am on 8/15;  4-5:30 on 8/17 until the start of school at the auditorium steps.
Field Hockey: 8:30-11am on 8/15 through and including 8/22
Boys’ Soccer: 9-11:30am for grades 9 & 10 / 3-5:30pm for grades 11 & 12 on 8/15 & 8/17; all players from 9-11:30am and 3-5:30pm on 8/18-8/21;  9-11:30am for both teams on 8/22.
Volleyball: 9am-noon on 8/15 in the main gymnasium

The following teams will begin practice on Monday, August 17th.  Student-Athletes should report at the following times and locations (with paperwork already completed):

Golf:  4:00pm on 8/17, 18 & 19 at the VFW Golf Course (must wear a collared shirt & no jeans allowed)

Water is available at all practices, but we do suggest that all athletes have their own water bottle.

Permission Forms:

Parent permission forms and physical forms MUST be completed BEFORE a student can begin practice.  The student must be examined (physical exam by a doctor) after May 31st, 2009 in order to be valid for this school year.  The necessary forms (packets) can be picked up at the high school (main office) from 8-3, Monday – Thursday during the summer.
